Thanks for guiding me through the rear sprocket replacement last time at BikeHood. Sorry I had to rush off - you pointed out quite a few things that needed further attention and I did get the brakes sorted out, too.

Much appreciated and it made me realize how easy it is just to keep riding even when the bike needs some serious attention... and that I need to update some of my skills since bikes have changed quite a lot "since I was a lad!"

Sorry for short notice.... next Bikehood tomorrow 24th March from 12:00 to 16:00 at Nottingham Hackspace. 

Because we are getting to the stage where we need a certain amount of cash to keep Bikehood going and stocked with consumables and tools, from March 2012 this is a pay for tickets event: advance tickets are £4 plus booking fee at

or pay £5 on the door on the day. For that you get up to an hour of one on one tuition, a 10% discount on parts at the bike shop just around the corner, as well as access to the bike tools all afternoon. Everything you need to get your bike in tip-top condition for Spring. For contributing mechanics, BikeHood is free.
